Danger! High Voltage! De Amerikaanse rockband Electric Six houdt er van om de duivel te tarten en te eren. Zo blijkt het (14de!) album ‘Bride of the Devil’ een oproep aan alle vrouwen om zich aan de voeten van Mefisto te werpen. Vrouwen zijn toch allemaal corrupte, bedrieglijke en kwaadaardige zielen, niet? Thema’s zoals de menselijke onkunde, het kwaad van het internet en de negen demonische cirkels van de hel worden aan de man gebracht via aanstekelijke disco, funk, new wave en punkrock … uiteraard steeds met een ongeëvenaarde knipoog en een satirische kwinkslag. Deze prettig gestoorde en in maatpak gehesen mafketels uit Detroit staan ook tijdens hun live shows garant voor hilarische en memorabele performances, en hun wereldhits ‘Gay Bar’, ‘Dance Commander’ en ‘Danger! High Voltage!’ zetten het publiek geheid een ‘wedgie’ van formaat. It’s going to be a blast!
